Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Schaumburg Library has closed all events in their meeting rooms. Therefore CAGGNI is canceling all its meetings through March. We will be back in touch with any new information.

CAGGNI’s Storytellers’ Special Interest Group is for those interested in the DOING of family history writing and storytelling. Do you need an assigned topic? Do you need deadlines to help get you motivated? Then join this group. 

The Storytellers’ group is dedicated to writing family stories for sharing with family members and others. Preserve your family’s history legacy by writing and sharing your story.

Held on the main floor of the Schaumburg Library in the tutorial area.

March topic: Memories at a Memorial Service

People often share memories of a loved one at the person's memorial service.  Such memories may include the person's accomplishments, but they often go well beyond what's printed in the obituary and cite endearing or funny anecdotes, stories that reveal uniques traits and/or "special moments" of the person's life.  Be sure to include the person's name and your relationship to him/her.  You might want to begin each segment with "I remember when..."
